Vision

Our Learners

At Acton Elementary School our students are excited collaborative learners who are encouraged by home, school, and community. As leaders, they are confident they will graduate well prepared to meet the challenges and high expectations of the 2Ist century. As successful, life-long learners, they work to their fullest potential to make a positive difference in the community and in their future paths.

The Learning Climate

Our children begin their discovery of knowledge in a nurturing home and school environment. The school is the central point of learning and a positive and respectful setting where student, staff, and parent relationships are valued. Staff and families work in harmony to provide a safe, supportive, and challenging learning experience.

The Learning Experience

Learning is different for individual students in terms of pace, learning style, and interest. Therefore, students will actively participate in creating and revising their own learning plans. All students are expected to rise to the challenges before them, demonstrate resilience, and reach proficiency on all learning targets. Our educational team enthusiastically embraces innovative teaching methods, experiential and interactive learning, student driven learning, and high standards of performance to achieve our goals. Using the latest technology as a tool for learning, the world is truly our classroom and the teacher facilitates and guides the students in using the technology to a responsible and high level.

Our Community Partners

Our school committee and community are committed to high expectations and high skill levels. They proactively work together to provide support and resources thus ensuring an environment for excellence in education for all stakeholders. Everyone is a teacher and everyone is a learner.
