BDA - Board Organizational Meeting

At the first regular meeting of the School Committee for each school year there shall be an election of a Chair and a Vice Chair for the ensuing year in accordance with procedures established in Acton School Committee Policy BDB.

The Chair and Vice Chair shall serve until the next annual organizational meeting, at the pleasure of the School Committee.  Removal prior to the next organizational meeting shall require three-fifths (3/5) vote of the whole School Committee.  

The School Committee shall appoint members of the School Committee to standing committees at a meeting immediately following the School Committee's goal-setting workshop.  Each committee shall elect its own Chair.  The School Committee Chair shall appoint members of the School Committee to any temporary committees.

All committees shall be composed of less than the majority of the School Committee.
