Appearance shall reflect personal cleanliness and neatness consistent with the expectations of parents and school personnel.

Some examples of unacceptable attire are, but are not limited to:

  1. Any garment which exposes bare skin around the midriff and/or any tops that are excessively revealing

  1. See-through clothing

  2. Clothing that exposes bra or underwear

  3. Shorts or skirts of inappropriate length or style (revealing slits or extremely short)

  4. Garments, hats, or pins with inappropriate messages including but not limited to those which make reference to profanity, drugs, alcohol, sex, weapons or violence

  5. Stocking feet or bare feet

  6. Hooded garments must have hoods down at all times while in the school building

  7. Any garment which presents a safety hazard

All of the above examples also apply at school dances, concerts, and other school functions.  The one exception is the eighth grade graduation ceremony, where appropriate formal or dressy attire will be accepted.
